Steps for completing the Allotment and TEKS Certification process:
- Download the Allotment and TEKS Certification template—available in Excel format or PDF format—and list which instructional materials the district has or plans to adopt for the upcoming school year. (This document does not need to be submitted to TEA but will be used by the district/charter school to complete the certification process.)
- Present this list to the LEA board of trustees or governing body in an open, public-noticed meeting to be ratified.
- After ratification, submit the required Allotment and TEKS Certification Form. (The district representative completing this form will be asked to confirm board approval; no signature is required).
EMAT access will be granted 5 days after the form is received by TEA.
