To request a refund, submit your request to the TEA Help Desk.
Include the fee amount you are requesting to be refunded and the reason for request in the description box. Also, please verify your address is up to date in the event a refund must be mailed to you. To do so, please login to your TEAL account, and click the blue View My Educator Certification Account link. Verify your address is up-to-date and select Continue to save your changes.
Eligible refunds will be processed in the original form of payment. If the fee is older than 6 months, or the credit card used is closed, the refund will be processed in the form of a paper check. Please allow several weeks for the processing of refund requests.
Note: By state administrative code, fees for fingerprinting and the Review of Credentials application are not refundable.
